BLUEPRINTS: Star Trek Robot cargo ship
BLUEPRINTS: Star Trek Robot cargo ship
In high school I created these drawings for the automated cargo ship that appeared in the animated Star Trek episode “More Tribbles, More Troubles”. I found inspiration in the blueprints of the Starship Enterprise created by Franz Josef and published in 1975. Classmate Mike Philbrick contributed many hours of hand-written lettering in the earliest version. Printed by “The Robots” in Menlo Park, CA, perhaps 100 copies were sold at science fiction conventions in San Jose and Oakland.
After many years, a bunch were transported to Starbase 79, and you may still find them for sale here.
Hand drafted, off set printed INK ON PAPER, 17” x 7.5”
